Last week after my 20 miler I started to have some quad pain. I thought it was sore and then it progressively got worse. I tried running my my students last week and my leg did not have it.
I have a ten mile race this weekend, so I bit the bullet today and made an appointment for the doctor.
The doctors' visit was so painful! He twisted, jabbed, and did ever painful thing to my muscle to work it out. He finally took that metal scraper and rubbed, rubbed, and rubbed again. I was screaming on the table and was almost in tears.
I was told no running until Thursday at the earliest, lots of stretching, foam rolling, and icing.
